On our latest adventure, we took a trip down to Stamford to visit the iconic Elm Street Diner, a family-run spot that’s been serving up next-level comfort food since 1987. Chef John Moshos, the mastermind behind the diner’s Instagram-worthy dishes have landed him on Food Network, NBC, ABC, and Fox, and has transformed his parents’ business into a must-visit destination for food lovers.
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality—and a complimentary cinnamon donut drizzled in Nutella and topped with crushed Oreos. Soft, pillowy, and bursting with rich chocolate-hazelnut goodness, it was the perfect teaser for what was to come.
Elm Street Diner’s menu is a showstopper, offering everything from social media-famous creations to elevated classics. We dove right in, starting with their Stack Spicy Rigatoni Chicken Parm Stacked Sandwich, a next-level take on spicy rigatoni vodka—but in sandwich form. Picture tender chicken parm, smothered in melted mozzarella, layered with crispy mozzarella sticks, and tucked inside a perfectly toasted wedge. Every bite was oozing with cheesy, spicy, garlicky perfection.
Next up, the Crispy Chicken Caesar Burrito, a fun and flavorful twist on the classic salad. Stuffed with crunchy chicken, crisp romaine, and parmesan, this handheld delight came with a syringe of creamy Caesar dressing, ready to be injected for that extra burst of tangy goodness.And for a lighter (but still indulgent) option, we had the Balsamic Steak Gorgonzola Salad.
Juicy, marinated skirt steak rested atop a bed of fresh mixed greens, bursting with sweet grape tomatoes, smoky grilled corn, and crumbled blue cheese, all tied together with a rich, tangy balsamic dressing. The balance of flavors was unreal—savory, creamy, smoky, and sweet in every forkful.
And did we mention the portions? Massive. You won’t leave hungry, but you will leave craving more.
